Mission
“Reach the lost of Venezuela through the equipping the pastors and church leaders of Venezuela in developing effective models of ministry grounded on a sound Orthodox Wesleyan theological foundation and in the best of the Wesleyan spirit to reach the nation for Christ.”
Venezuela Now’s primary goal is to continue to build up local churches through the training of pastoral leaders at the Seminario Wesleyano de Venezuela. Pre-seminary, undergraduate and master’s degree programs are offered through weeklong intensive courses, night classes, Friday and Saturday trimester classes, and online education.
In 2007, students of the Seminary founded the Methodist Church of Venezuela. The Conference now has more than 60 congregations, each pledged to plant at least one other church in the near future. Seminary students have launched outreach programs, such as Una Esperanza, a ministry for at-risk women and children, the Wesley Medical Center, over 40 food banks, and many others. Seminary students and graduates serve in and lead in several other denominations and as missionaries to other countries.
