There is an epidemic in Venezuela of babies having babies. Most of these young girls are very poor and are sexually molested and abandoned. They have little or no education, no means of livelihood, and no hope. STDs and AIDS are rampant. There is little or no access to birth control or medical care.

Dr. Maria has a passion for these young girls and their children. She has established a medical nonprofit through which she is offering hope to at-risk girls, women and children. Every month Venezuela Now provides Infant Formula for 50 at-risk infants. The cost is $90 per child per month. This requires funding of about $4,500 per month, $54,000 for the year. This will save the lives of at least 200 at risk infants this year.

Further, by providing this formula for the first few months of a child’s life, the ministry shares the love and compassion of Christ with the mother and often the entire extended family. Often this is the first exposure these families have to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Additionally Venezuela Now provides birthing kits to dozens of expectant mothers. These kits include the medical products required by the hospitals for their delivery. Often these products are unavailable or simply unaffordable.
